APN collaborated with Oxfam, the Late Hashim Abdullah Qtaishat Development  Association, Salt School, the Caritas Committee, the Islamic Charity Center, and the Provincial Brigade Ain Al-Basha  in organizing a symposium to raise awareness about the water situation in Jordan to Syrian and Jordanian families in the areas of Salt and Safout. The lecture given by APN focused on mechanisms to rationalize water consumption.

A film was also screened to children with a message of reducing the over- consumption of water.APN’s Mohammed Qtaishat spoke about ways to rationalize water consumption in Jordan, which is one of the poorest countries in the world in water resources. He also provided attendants with facts and figures about the amount of water wasted in homes:

• Damage to bubbler water tanks will waste 15 liters till the arrival of water in accordance with the role of the weekly program.

• Any damage to the toilet’s flusher will waste 12 liters with each use.

• Bathtubs consume about 140 liters, so it is better to use showers, which consume 20-30 liters.
