The Jordanian National Campaign Against the Israel-Jordan Gas Deal continues to voice its opposition of the $10 billion gas deal with the Zionist entity, and has organized several events and activities to highlight the dangers of the deal in an effort to push the government denounce it.

The Campaign organized its third forum, which brought together workers’ unions, members of parliament, political parties, and local activist movements to discuss the latest findings on the gas deal and campaign’s upcoming events. The attendees considered the most effective strategies and ways forward to fight the deal. On 7/03/207, the campaign held a protest in front of the Arab Potash Company stressing the rejection of importing gas from the Tamar field and its unjustifiably high price. It is important to note that even the Israeli Electricity company refused to buy gas from the Tamar field due to its inexcusable high price, and has signed with British Petroleum instead. The campaign has prepared informative folders for every Member of Parliament, which includes the latest facts and figures on the deal.
