From an Interview with APN: Do We Unknowingly Import GMOs and Who is Responsible

English

On 14/12/2017, Amal Hudhud, representing the investigative journalism organization ARIJ, conducted an interview with APN co-founder and president of the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty, Razan Zuayter on the state of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in Jordan.

Zuayter confirmed that there is a high degree of negligence in the monitoring of GMOs, and that as per consumers’ right to know what they are eating, the minimum requirement is to impose informative labels on food items indicating whether the ingredients are derived from or contain GMO products.
