On 25-27 September, 2017, Mr. Hassan Al Jaajaa represented the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature at the West Asia Civil Society Consultation Meeting Ahead of the United Nations Environment Assembly meeting in Amman. Mr. Al Jaajaa participated in the working groups that were formed and presented facts and figures that APN had prepared on the environmental destruction created by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank. Mr. Al Jaajaa also spoke about an appeal, launched by APN and signed by dozens of regional and international organizations, on the environmental damage and humanitarian crisis afflicting the Arab Yemeni population; what that has been described by the United Nations as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

Mr. Al Jaajaa has successfully ensured that these three environmental catastrophes will be included in the West Asia working paper that will be presented to the United Nations Environment Assembly.
